One of the most amazing aspects of my books is the incredibly talented artists I am privileged to feature and share with you. As I begin work on my third book CARD I am also beside myself with glee to once again begin blogging and filming through the unboxing process.
Today we are unboxing a package sent by Jenny of Jenny Fields Fibers!
The first thing I noticed about Jenny's package was the adorable peacock wrapping paper. Who doesn't love purple peacock wrapping paper?!
The second thing I noticed was her cello bags had a really unique flower vase shape to them. I've seen a lot of cello bags, it's fun to see them in a new style.
Jenny used handspun yarn to tie off each bag and attach a nice label tag. I love seeing handspun samples in packaging - I feel like it gives an intimate look into the artists heart. What we make is a reflection of our deepest self after all!
She send me a Discovery Kit in the Taos colourway and I couldn't be more delighted!
This colourway reminds me of something patinaed, it's got such a beautiful teal and copper tinged rainbow of colours.
Inside my kit there are two kinds of wool, ultra long and glorious Wensleydale locks and fluffy Cormo fleece.
As much as I favour wool above most other fibers, her silk is spectacular. She tucked in throwster's silk waste, cocoons, a couple of silk hankies and the most magical silk roving.
If you are looking for a way to beef up your cardable collection or discover new fibers at a lower cost, Jenny's Discovery Kits are great option.
